Clean drinking water for Shalla

Shalla is a small village in rural Ethiopia. This place has no access to clean drinking water, which causes droughts, sickness, and other health problems. During dry seasons, the population of Shalla has a hard time surviving. The Dutch NGO Woord en Daad started a project to provide
Shalla’s people with clean drinking water. In the coming years, Woord en Daads local partner will build an innovative water system for Shalla and surrounding villages.
Juney visited Shalla several times for both Woord en Daad and the Addis Alem Foundation. We were present at the project launch, documented the needs of the people of Shalla, and talked to elders and leaders about this place’s problems and needs.
Woord en Daad used the footage in several campaigns.
