Together with Dutch and local partners, Woord en Daad and the Dutch Water Authority started a big, long-term project around the Ethiopian Awash River. Clean water is the source of life, but many people living along the river don’t have the access to it. We stand by the statement that journalists should give voice to the voiceless, thus we engaged into this inspiring project. The aim of this project was to better the quality of the river water, and provide thousands of people with clean drinking water. As devoted journalists in Ethiopia, our team followed the project and reported about the changes around the river.
